The celebration of your loved one’s life at the funeral service is meant to be both personal and memorable. It is the final tribute to your loved one and will be remembered during the coming years by family and friends.

All of our staff at the A.W. Rich Funeral Home want your loved one’s service to be a comforting and memorable event. We will provide you with magnetic memory boards with which you can create collages, your loved one’s life story, photos, artwork and other memorabilia that was unique and special to your loved one. You can create the boards yourself with family and friends contributing, or we can create them for you, using pictures and other items you provide. Many families find it therapeutic to create the boards themselves and find that creating the memory boards spark stories and fond memories that help in the healing process. It adds a great deal of meaning to the visitation hours when family and friends can look at the memorabilia and share memories of your loved one.

We also suggest family bring in other items that were special to the deceased person for visitation, such as poetry, achievement awards, fishing poles, hats, or musical instruments, for example. These items tend to draw fond memories of your loved one’s life and can be very comforting.

We will also provide you with, at no additional cost, memory cards with your loved one’s photo (if you provide one), a keepsake register book which provides information on family and participants, services, floral arrangements, interment and guests and “thank you” cards. We have available, if desired, memorial folders which include your loved one’s photo, a verse of your choice, and information on the services and participants.

If you have family or friends who are unable to attend the visitation or services but would like to pay tribute to your loved one, we have available “The Life Legacy” where your guests can share a memory, look at a photo gallery of your loved one and/or sign an interactive guestbook.. This is printed and given to the family to keep. We also have the “Remembrance Registry” which provides unique on-line obituaries, a message board and interactive guestbook. There is also a Resource Center for the library, bookstore, discussion groups and more. These are provided to every family we service. It is our goal to make the final tribute to your loved one memorable and unique.
