Many people ask “What happens if I pass away in another state or country?” Many people move south or west during retirement or at other times in their lives and transport home upon death is an area of concern. Many that relocate, either permanently or temporarily during winter months, have family ties in Vermont and the family or deceased person may have wished to have services in Vermont. The same is true for someone residing or visiting here who has family in another state.

At the A.W. Rich Funeral Home, we provide transfer services for those in need of transfer home to Vermont or to another state. Our services include arrangement of transportation, merchandise, necessary paperwork and communications with the cooperating funeral home regarding the family’s wishes.
